Steven Gerrard’s Rangers won at Ibrox today, and that has put Celtic in a rather awkward position.
Rangers got the better of St Mirren 3-0 at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.
This means that Rangers need just a point from their final games to win the league title this season.
The Gers will take on Celtic away from home at Celtic Park in the Old Firm derby on March 21, and a point there would be enough to get them over the line.
However, if Celtic drop points against Dundee United tomorrow, then Rangers will secure the championship.
That would set up the prospect of Celtic giving a guard of honour to their bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers at home later this month.

However, if Celtic win tomorrow, then Rangers will have the chance of clinching the title at Celtic Park.
As reported by The Scottish Sun in February 2021, Rangers chose not to give Celtic a guard of honour when the teams met at Ibrox in May 2019.
Some Celtic fans on Twitter are against the idea of giving Rangers a guard of honour, as shown below.
