Should Everton make a move for high profile free agent Sulley Muntari?
Sulley Muntari
The list of available free agents is hardly an inspiring one for top Premier League clubs, with outcasts like Emmanuel Adebayor and Nicklas Bendtner potentially more trouble than they are worth.
There is one high profile midfielder available however, who could be worth a short term gamble for Everton, to ease their pain at missing out on Moussa Sissoko on deadline day.
Step forward former Portsmouth FA Cup winning midfielder Sulley Muntari.

Muntari is 32, and has quite a CV, playing for both AC Milan and Inter Milan, with more than 80 international caps for Ghana to his name, and 20 goals.
He left AC Milan in 2015 to earn highly at Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad, but is a free agent, and Ghana Web report he is keen on a move back to Europe.
Muntari would by no means be a long term solution for Everton – but it could be worth the Toffees considering making a move for the player to add depth to the squad, and fill a place in the team they had designated for Sissoko before he elected to join Tottenham instead.

The Ghanaian is a box-to-box midfielder, whose experience in the Premier League should stand him in good stead. As well as his success at Portsmouth, he spent time on loan at Sunderland.
He was signed for Inter Milan by Roberto Mancini, and has played alongside stars including Esteban Cambiasso and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Of course it is fair to wonder whether he has anything left in the tank, if he is still capable of playing in the Premier League after a year in league of inferior quality – but on a free transfer it could be a low risk gamble worth taking for the Toffees.
