Leeds United striker Billy Sharp was sent on to grab a late winner for Leeds United on Saturday, but he contributed little.
Leeds United’s 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday means Darko Milanic has now gone three games without a win since replacing caretaker boss Neil Redfearn last month.
This fiercely-contested derby ended level after Chris Maguire’s 52nd-minute goal was ultimately cancelled out by Giuseppe Bellusci with just 11 minutes remaining.
But a player sent on with the sole purpose of changing the match had little impact despite featuring for 22 minutes.
Milanic called on Billy Sharp in the 68th-minute, but while some Leeds fans would have thought the script was written for the 28-year-old to grab a late winner, he failed to have a single goal-scoring attempt (either on target or off-target).
Sharp did manage one key pass, while his passing accuracy of 100 per cent was excellent, but then he only made five passes!

Sharp touched the ball a total of eight times and his substitution failed to fire Leeds to a much-needed win.
Mirco Antenucci had already spurned a glorious chance for the hosts and by the final whistle it seemed it was simply not their day, but if Sharp wants to get back in Leeds’ starting line-up he will have to do much better than he managed on Saturday.
