Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that he is no rush to make a decision on the future of reported Leeds United target Rhian Brewster, as quoted in the Liverpool Echo.

The Mirror reported earlier this month of interest from Leeds in signing Brewster on a loan deal from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

The Whites will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

Brewster is training with the Liverpool first team at the moment, having spent the second half of the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Swansea City in the Championship.

Klopp has spoken highly of the 20-year-old striker, and has said that he is not in a rush to make a decision on the youngster.

The German boss has said that Brewster will be in his Liverpool squad for the FA Community Shield against Arsenal on Saturday evening.

The Liverpool Echo quotes Klopp as saying about Brewster: “Rhian looks really promising. He is still a young boy.

“Number nine experience helps a lot, we have to work out how to give him that. But there’s no reason to rush anything. He will be involved tomorrow in the squad for sure.”

Sensible stance

The summer transfer window will run until October, and there is no reason for Liverpool manager Klopp to make a decision on Brewster right now.

It would make sense for the Liverpool boss to see how the youngster does in the opening weeks of the new season before deciding whether or not to send him out on loan again.
