Reported Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool target Milan Skriniar has ruled out a move away from Inter Milan this summer while speaking to Tuttomercatoweb.
Whenever one of the top players in his position finds himself stuck on the bench, it’s inevitable questions start to be asked about their future.
And, once Slovakia international Skriniar fell behind Diego Godin, Alessandro Bastoni and Stefan de Vrij in Antonio Conte’s pecking order, it was only a matter of time before the Nerazzurri star was linked with a Premier League powerhouse.
Gazzetta dello Sport claimed in June that Liverpool had identified Skriniar as Virgil van Dijk’s £45 million central defensive partner.
A Tottenham side who lost Jan Vertonghen to Benfica were apparently also willing to offer the former Sampdoria stopper a three-year contract worth £70,000 a week.
Jose Mourinho, according to FC Inter News, is a huge fan of a man who was frequently linked with his Manchester United side.
But, despite playing only six minutes in total during the quarters, semis and final of the Europa League, Skriniar is going nowhere.

“On the bench at Inter? I must say I was used to playing regularly. When you play every three days, it is inevitable the coach starts making changes,” he explains.
“Since the team was doing well and we were conceding few goals (without me in the XI), the coach preferred not to change anything until the Europa League final. I was upset, but the important thing was the team achieved good results.
“A departure? I have no information on that. I still have a three-year contract with the club. Nobody here has told me he doesn’t want me. Conte still wants me in Milan.
“I have no reason to leave Inter. They still want me and I’ve always been involved in training.”
It remains to be seen whether Spurs will enter the market for a Vertonghen replacement.
With funds tight in north London, Mourinho may instead look to complete Eric Dier’s transformation into a commanding centre-half while giving Japhet Tanganga a run of games in his favoured position.
