Speaking on his YouTube channel, Rio Ferdinand has backed Harry Kane to get back to his best very quickly after committing his short-term future to Tottenham Hotspur.
Everyone is sick of hearing it, but it’s no secret that Kane wanted to leave Spurs this summer, but after a move to Manchester City never came to fruition, he’s going to continue playing his football in north London.
It now remains to be seen whether or not Kane will be able to hit the heights we know he’s capable of hitting after an uncertain summer at Spurs, and Ferdinand believes he’ll have no problem when it comes to returning to form.
What’s been said?
Ferdinand gave his verdict on Kane.
“There was a bit of uncertainty surrounding Harry Kane, the uncertainty and the pantomime surrounding Harry Kane and Levy, will he stay or will he go. Kane has been told now that he needs to get with the programme. There will be no question about whether or not he will do that, Kane is a professional and his sights are on being the Premier League’s top goalscorer of all time. He’s a top professional for sure and he’ll be back in the groove soon for sure,” Ferdinand said.

Back to his best
Surely it won’t be long before Harry Kane is back to his best.
Yes, he may have wanted to leave Spurs, but he’s made it very clear that he’s focused on the season, and as Ferdinand says, he has records to hunt down.
The one thing that may affect Kane’s form is his new manager. Nuno Espirito Santo hasn’t turned Spurs into a brilliant attacking force quite yet, with the north London club scoring just three goals in three games, so it remains to be seen how much service Kane will actually get in this system.
However, when you have a striker of that quality, they can often make something out of nothing, and we wouldn’t be shocked if Kane was a Golden Boot contender once again.
