Ray Parlour has said on talkSPORT (6:43am, May 13, 2022) that Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min gave Arsenal central defender Rob Holding “a little elbow” last night.
Arsenal had defender Rob Holding sent off in the North London derby against Tottenham at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for a cynical elbow on Son Heung-min.
The defender was given two yellow cards.
The red card was coming, as it was clear from the start of the Premier League game that there was something brewing between Holding and Son.
Former Arsenal star Parlour has noted that during one of the tussles between Holding and £22 million Spurs forward Son (The Guardian), the latter elbowed the Arsenal defender, and that got to him.

Ray Parlour on Tottenham’s Son Heung-min v Arsenal’s Rob Holding
Parlour said on talkSPORT (6:43am, May 13, 2022): “When he was on the floor. I think this was the first one, he was holding onto him, and he just gave him a little elbow.
“I don’t know if you saw it. No one saw it, to be fair. Maybe that’s a reason he was a little bit highly strung through the game, Holding, because he got an elbow.”
Disappointing
In our opinion, Holding should have known better and should have been smarter about the situation.
Yes, it was a North London derby, but the Arsenal central defender should have maintained his cool.
The Gunners were doing relatively well up to that point, and there is no doubt that the dismissal of Holding helped Tottenham to a convincing win in the North London derby in the end.
