Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have provided a mixed reaction to Jose Mourinho’s comments about Gareth Bale ahead of today’s Europa League tie against Wolfsberger.
Over the weekend, Bale produced his best performance since returning to North London.
The only problem is that it came during a defeat and that against Tottenham’s North London rivals.
Nonetheless, ahead of today’s second-leg Europa League clash, Mourinho told his pre-match press conference:
“He doesn’t need to convince me of anything,” said Mourinho. “I am totally convinced about everything. It’s not about convincing me.
“It’s about being ready to play the minutes we all would love him to play. It’s a process. You see how many matches he played in the last couple of years. It’s a process.”
Bale has been a regular starter in Europe, but the same cannot be said for the Premier League where Mourinho has picked him from the off only twice.
As a result of Mourinho’s comments, some Spurs fans want the left-footed speedster to start more regularly now.
Not just in Europe, but in the Premier League also.

Whilst Tottenham’s clash today should be a breeze in the park given their lead, many fans are hoping Bale is in that starting XI on Sunday against Burnley also.
Nonetheless, here is a selection of Spurs fans reacting to Mourinho’s comments about Bale.
