Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed that there is ‘no way’ Graham Potter swaps Brighton for Everton, as he told talkSPORT.
The former Premier League striker questioned why Potter would want to go to Everton because Brighton are ‘going places’.
The Toffees ended the ill-fated and unforgettable spell of Rafa Benitez on Sunday following their defeat to Norwich City at Carrow Road.
Despite Benitez’s experience, he was someone who should never have been appointed in the first place.
But now Everon are on the lookout for a new face to take to their dugout, with Duncan Ferguson currently holding the fort.
A number of names have been mentioned for the vacant position, as Agbonlahor explained why it won’t be Potter.
“Why would Graham Potter want to go to Everton?” asked Agbonlahor. “No way, he would want to go there.
“No offence to Everton. They are six points off relegation. Brighton are going places if Potter is leaving Brighton.
“Then, I am sure, he is looking at a Manchester United or a bigger job than Everton.”

It’s the small matter of the most played fixture in England’s top-flight at the weekend when Everton lock horns with Aston Villa.
Added with that, it’s big Dunc pitting his tactical wits against Steven Gerrard, who has started life at Villa in a positive fashion.
On occasions, the results haven’t been there to see from the Midlands side, but fans can see the progression they are making under the legendary midfielder.
Hopefully, there are a few sparks flying about on Saturday because it would be something to see Ferguson and Gerrard go off on the touchline.
