Tottenham Hotspur fans do not appear best pleased with rumours suggesting that they want to sign Mauro Icardi.
Icardi to Spurs?
CalcioMercato reporter earlier this week that Tottenham have an interest in landing the PSG striker.
Fabio Paratici apparently is eyeing up a move to bring the Argentine to Spurs next summer, as they seek to add more attacking talent to their ranks.
But Tottenham fans do not feel that Icardi is the answer to their problems.
Questionable signing
If Icardi was to join Spurs he would offer them some experienced back-up to Harry Kane.
However, he has netted just three goals in 10 games for PSG this term and hasn’t fully convinced ever since his move to the French capital.
Tottenham unquestionably could be aided by the addition of a striker to add depth to their options up-front.
But whether it would be wise to bring in Icardi, who will be 29 by next summer, is questionable.
Not only would Icardi’s arrival block the progress of Dane Scarlett, but he would also likely command a significant wage.
And Tottenham may well be better off looking at other striking options, as their fans appear to want them to do.
