Clive Allen said on ESPN (8:27pm, March 11, 2021) that Harry Kane’s first goal for Tottenham Hotspur last night was not due to luck.

Tottenham got the better of Dinamo Zagreb 2-0 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the first leg of their Europa League Round of 16 tie on Thursday evening.

England international striker Kane scored the opening goal of the game in the 25th minute and added a second on 70 minutes.

For the first goal, the 27-year-old was at the right place at the right time, as Erik Lamela’s effort came back off the post for him to finish off.

Former Tottenham forward and coach Allen was on co-commentary duty for the match for BT Sports/ESPN, and he said that people who will discuss the goal today say that Kane was lucky would be wrong.

Allen said about Bale in the 26th minute of the match on ESPN (8:27pm, March 11, 2021): “People will say it’s fortunate that it has come off the post and it has come back to Harry Kane.

“No, no, no. He started it and he ended up in the 18-yard box, having run 60 yards to side foot it in the back of the net. That is a goalscorer supreme.”

Yet another superb performance

Kane is one of the best strikers in the world and plays consistently well, and once again, he turned on the show for Spurs.
