But Liverpool fans simply don’t understand why they would be looking at Meunier as they have Neco Williams.
Williams has impressed when given a chance in Liverpool’s first-team this season.
The youngster has played in Liverpool’s cup matches, and looks as if he could step up and provide strong cover to Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Meunier would offer Liverpool a more experienced option, and he does have the ability to play in midfield.
But whether the Reds would be making a smart move by funding his wages when Williams looks so adept is very much up for debate.
