Football is a funny old game.

Arsenal’s season looked like it was going off the rails a few days ago after three consecutive losses to Brighton, Southampton and Crystal Palace, but from out of nowhere, they’ve pulled a win out of the bag against Chelsea, and things are once again looking up for the north London club.

Unfortunately for the Gunners, their tough fixture list continues as they prepare to face Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils are in the midst of a torrid run of form, but as we should all know, you can never write off Manchester United.

With that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting Mikel Arteta’s starting XI for this match.

It’s not the most exciting or controversial XI you’re likely to ever seen, but we think that Mikel Arteta will go unchanged for this game against Manchester United.

This XI managed to get past Chelsea, and given United have similar attacking threats, we think that the Gunners will keep the likes of Rob Holding and Mohamed Elneny in the side in order to stifle Ralf Rangnick’s men.

One selection headache that Mikel Arteta faces is down the left-wing, but we expect Emile Smith Rowe to retain his place ahead of Gabriel Martinelli after his goal against Chelsea.

Eddie Nketiah starts up top after his brace in midweek, despite the fact Alexandre Lacazette will once again be available for selection here.
