Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko is trying to stay upbeat despite the way he has fallen out of favour recently.

Sissoko was a regular for Spurs in the early half of the season, seemingly turning around his poor 2016/17.

Up until January 21 he made 12 league starts, since then, he has been largely overlooked by manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Sissoko has only since played in the FA Cup, and is not guaranteed to feature in the semi-final against Manchester United.

Despite his recent struggle, Sissoko is trying to stay positive.

Sissoko came off the bench for the final few minutes against Stoke City at the weekend, and he is in Pochettino’s thoughts, he just simply is not a first choice.

He has suffered from Victor Wanyama’s return to injury and Mousa Dembele’s ascendance in form.

Sissoko has 16 appearances from the bench in the league this season, and his best bet to feature in the league could be next week’s tie with Brighton next Tuesday, just days ahead of the Wembley semi-final.

If he gets a chance to impress then he must seize it, especially with his France World Cup place in serious jeopardy.
