Sam Rodon – brother of Joe Rodon – caused confusion before Tottenham’s 3-1 defeat to Leeds earlier with an intriguing two-word tweet.
When the lineups were announced, Rodon’s name could not be seen in the starting XI, or even among the substitutes.
Naturally, you would’ve presumed Ryan Mason was unable to call upon the Welshman due to an injury, or at least some kind of fitness issue.
However, when asked by a supporter if his brother was injured, Sam Rodon denied that there was anything wrong with the £11 million defender.

Now, that is very strange.
Interestingly, Rodon is yet to actually play a single second of football under Mason.
His last appearance came in the 2-2 draw against Everton at Goodison Park, José Mourinho’s last game in charge of Tottenham.
Rodon is still fairly inexperienced at this level, and hasn’t exactly been one of the first names on the teamsheet following his move from Swansea.
However, he is still a reliable option, so it was baffling to see that Mason hadn’t even named him on his bench for the trip to Elland Road.
The 23-year-old has made 18 appearances in all competitions for Spurs this season, and hasn’t let himself down at all.
Rodon is also an experienced international, with 12 caps for Wales under his belt.
However, with more senior options such as Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez at the club, he has struggled for game time.
Hopefully, Rodon hasn’t been involved in any controversy, and it’s merely a tactical decision from Mason.
