West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to discuss something that Mark Noble did in the 44th minute of yesterday’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester United.
The BBC Sport cameras picked up the 33-year-old barging into Donny van de Beek at Old Trafford last night.
Just before half-time in the FA Cup clash, the Hammers captain lunged into the Dutchman as he was about to take a throw-in.
We can only assume that Noble did this in order to prevent a quick counter-attack taking place.
Without any context, however, the five-second clip makes for a baffling, albeit hilarious, piece of footage.
David Moyes can even be seen lurking in the background, and looks completely unmoved after seeing what Noble did.
You can only assume that the 33-year-old is like this all the time, or else the Scot would’ve looked a bit more bemused by the incident!
Noble did manage to prevent a goal on this occasion.
However, he couldn’t keep Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side out completely as Scott McTominay scored in extra-time.
However, at least Moyes can now focus on keeping West Ham’s tremendous Premier League form going – the Irons can certainly get into Europe this term.
