Joe Cole thinks Manchester City have the ‘better squad’ than Liverpool, as he told ITV Sport.
But the former England star thinks that Jurgen Klopp’s side have the ‘momentum’ during these crunch moments of the season.
That might have been the case on Saturday when Liverpool knocked Manchester City out of the FA Cup.
It was those in red singing loudest as the Merseyside giants booked their FA Cup final ticket by beating their Premier League title rivals 3-2 at Wembley.
After Chelsea had booked their ticket alongside Liverpool’s yesterday, Cole was asked about whether he thinks the quadruple-chasing team has a better squad than Man City’s.
“No, no I don’t,” said Cole. “I think Manchester City have the better squad. But I think Liverpool have the momentum.
“At this time of the year, they have that mindset where I can’t see them getting beat.”

Last season, and before that, many probably would have backed Man City having the better squad and even the better XI.
But Liverpool can come to that party now, especially in the final third because they have some serious goalscoring talent.
Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz have made a serious impact on the usual front three that have operated for a number of years.
Whilst someone like Ibrahima Konate is looking like an absolute unit at the back, including scoring in three consecutive games.
