Back in August, Tottenham launched a £30m bid to sign Adama Traore, as Nuno Espirito Santo was keen on a reunion with the explosive winger.

Wolves rejected the offer, and Traore remained at Molineux where he has suffered a difficult campaign so far under Bruno Lage.

What’s the story?

Well, to our surprise, the Spain international is yet to register a single goal involvement in 18 appearances this season.

Traore hasn’t scored a goal, nor has he assisted one for his teammates after his proposed move to Spurs broke down.

Perhaps the 25-year-old allowed the talk to get inside his head, and it distracted him from delivering his best performances for Wolves.

Something has definitely affected the ex-Barcelona man, as he’s capable of so much more – he recorded 18 goal involvements in the 2019/20 season.

Tottenham don’t want Adama Traore anymore, right?

With zero goal involvements to his name, you wouldn’t blame Spurs for deciding against another move for the Wolves No.37.

However, Antonio Conte is said to be a fan, and would like Tottenham to make another attempt according to The Athletic.

Interestingly, the Italian also wanted Traore at Chelsea during his time in charge of the Blues, so this rumour could have legs.

If Conte does get his hands on the rapid forward, it will take some work to bring back his confidence.

If the Italian can achieve that though, Spurs would have a completely new dimension added to their attack.

Just imagine a front three of Heung-min Son, Harry Kane and Traore – it would be hugely entertaining, to say the least.
