Tottenham Hotspur were linked with a move for Watford forward Richarlison back in November, but his form has dropped off lately.

Given his recent form, Tottenham fans would have been forgiven for forgetting that back in November, the Daily Mirror suggested that they were eyeing up a move for Watford forward Richarlison.
By that point, the Brazilian had already established himself as one of the most exciting youngsters in the Premier League, having only arrived in England a few months prior.

When the Mirror reported Spurs’ interest in the £11.2 million ace, the 20-year-old had scored four and provided two assists – but his form has been a lot more disappointing since the links emerged, with just one goal and two assists coming in that time, and no goals in his last nine.
While some Tottenham fans may look at that run of form as a reason to steer clear of the Hornets prospect for the time-being, perhaps this window would actually be the perfect time to make a move precisely because of his form.

Given his age and the club he is currently playing for, it would certainly be no surprise if there are a host of sides having a look with the intention of potentially making a bid at some stage further down the line.
If all those sides came to Watford at once, the Hornets could perhaps engineer a bidding war that sees his price increase significantly – but right now, they may do well to attract enough bids to make that happen.
Therefore, if Tottenham make their move during this window while his stock seems to be lower than it was just a couple of months ago, perhaps it would be easier to get a deal across the line and potentially for a lower fee than if they waited for his form to pick up once again.
His lack of recent productivity may alarm some Spurs fans, but it must not be forgotten what he achieved during his first few months in England after arriving from Brazil without a significant break – his last competitive appearance for Corinthians came less than three weeks before he played against Liverpool on the opening day – and that he is still only 20 years old, so is bound to go through difficult patches.
