Gary Neville has told his self-titled podcast that he doesn’t believe Tottenham Hotspur have a 50/50 chance of winning the League Cup final and that they go into the tie as underdogs.
Tottenham are set to take on Manchester City at Wembley in April, as they look to win their first silverware since 2008.
But Neville feels that Spurs have a tough task on their hands, as City have started to click into gear in recent games.
“No. I would have done a weeks ago when Tottenham were on that fantastic run, and Harry Kane was outstanding, with Son and Bergwijn and Hobjerg and Sissoko,” Neville said, when asked if it was a 50/50 game.
“They’re still doing well, don’t get me wrong, but City were nowhere near this.
“When you see City like this you have to make City favourites.
“They would be favourites against any team in the Premier League, maybe Liverpool aside.
“Jose Mourinho, even Tottenham’s players, nobody in this country will think it’s 50/50, I’d think it’s more 70/30. But it’s a final and it’s compelling.”

City booked their place in the final with an impressive win over Manchester United last night.
Pep Guardiola’s side have now scored five goals against Chelsea and United in their last two games without return, which is an ominous sign for the rest of the league.
Tottenham can take confidence from the fact that they have already beaten City this season, though.
Spurs won 2-0 against Guardiola’s men earlier in the season, when Mourinho’s tactical plan worked to perfection against them.
