Troy Deeney told talkSPORT that he’s heard Tottenham striker Harry Kane practises shooting from ‘weird and strange angles’ in training.
The Watford captain also shared that he’s been told Kane’s wondergoal, from the tightest of angles, against Arsenal in 2016 at White Hart Lane was ‘no fluke’ because he practises them in training.
Kane returned from injury over the weekend, as a previously confidence-drained Spurs side, also returned to winning ways with their star man back on the field.
Deeney was full of praise for the England captain and shared that you just ‘pray’ and ‘hope’ when you come up against a player of his qualities.
“I have worked with people that have worked with him and said what he is like on the training pitch,” said Deeney.
“Stays out every day and does shooting from all sorts of angles. I remember the goal he scored against Arsenal at White Hart Lane, from that mad angle.
“Everyone was saying ‘that’s no fluke’. He is out practising from weird and strange angles. And you are thinking ‘what are you doing?’. But he just wants to feel comfortable in every situation.
“I think under the current system, it actually helps him. There is more depth to his game. There is, of course, the assists.”

It could be argued that Kane has been the best player in the Premier League this season because he’s the only player currently in double figures in terms of goals and assists.
Kane has 13 Premier League goals to his name, only Liverpool’s Mo Salah has more.
Whilst he has supplied his Tottenham teammates with eleven assists, well supplied his partner in crime, Heung-Min Son.
