Speaking on his YouTube channel, Rio Ferdinand has been hailing Mohamed Salah after his game-winning performance against Manchester City on Sunday.
The Egyptian was back to his best at the weekend after a slow start to the season, scoring a remarkable goal against City to win the game for the Reds.
It was impossible not to be impressed by Salah’s brilliance against City, and Ferdinand was blown away by what he saw from the attacker at the weekend.
Indeed, Ferdinand stated that while Salah has been off the boil, there’s no way you can doubt his quality.

Ferdinand lauds Salah
The pundit praised the attacker after his performance at the weekend.
“Listen, Mo Salah has been off the boil compared to his standards and he gets the opportunity in the game and it’s scary for other players. His goal and assist ratio over this year, he’s the best in the league over the course of the whole year. So there’s no doubting his quality,” Ferdinand said.
Never write him off
How do people not know by now to never write Mo Salah off.
This is a player who has made a career of proving his doubters wrong, and while he’s not been at his best this season, he’s always got something special lurking up his sleeve.
Salah now has four goals in his last two games, and it wouldn’t surprise us at all if he kept scoring at this rate from here on in.
The winger has proven himself to be one of the very best players in world football, and he’ll surely be close to the top of the scoring charts come the end of the season.
Yes, he’s started slowly, but these last two games may have well and truly ignited his season.
