Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after Newcastle announced that Craig Pawson would be overseeing their game against Southampton on Saturday.
Why does this concern Arsenal supporters?
Well, the Gunners had an unfortunate evening with Pawson on Tuesday, as he sent both David Luiz and Bernd Leno off in the 2-1 defeat to Wolves.
There haven’t been many complaints about the latter’s dismissal, as nobody can argue that the German handled the ball outside his area.
However, the incident involving David Luiz, in which he didn’t actually make contact with Willian Jose, has been clouded in controversy.

As a result, some Gunners fans think that Pawson will continue his streak of dismissing Arsenal players if Joe Willock makes his Magpies debut against the Saints.
It seems silly, although the Arsenal fans are clearly holding a grudge against Pawson and believe he has an agenda against Mikel Arteta’s side.
Hopefully, if Willock does make his debut against the Saints, he impresses his new colleagues.

It would be a nightmarish scenario for Newcastle’s new No.28 if he does receive his marching orders on debut.
However, that’s what the Arsenal fans predict will happen.
Let’s see what they’ve been saying in response to Newcastle’s club announcement…
