Isaac Hayden will be hoping to finally make his Premier League debut following Newcastle United’s promotion to the Premier League.

Isaac Hayden has admitted that he has spoken to Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez about needing to improve certain aspects of his game, but insisted that he is more than confident about his ability to make the step up to Premier League level, the Chronicle reports.

Hayden looks set to finally make his debut at the highest level next season following the Magpies’ promotion from the Championship, having only appeared in the League Cup during his time with Arsenal and with his previous loan spell at Hull not being extended beyond their own promotion-winning season.

But despite that, and conceding that there are things to work on, Hayden is adamant that he will be able to thrive at the highest level, especially after speaking to Benitez.

“I know I have got improving to do in certain aspects of my game – I have spoken to the manager about that – but he’s got full confidence in me, I have got full confidence in myself that come next season, especially in pre-season, my body will be 100-per-cent fit, ready and raring to go and improve,” he said, as reported by the Chronicle.

“I should have no doubt that I’ll be able to hack it in the Premier League.”

Hayden was incredibly impressive during his first season at St James’ Park, making 33 league appearances to help the Magpies secure the title in dramatic fashion on the final day of the campaign.

And while Benitez’s reported transfer budget of at least £70 million (via Chronicle) may have led some to wonder what role certain members of the title-winning side would play in the top flight, Hayden’s versatility and reliability suggests that he should certainly have a part to play next term.
