Speaking on The Done Deal Show, Ben Jacobs has been discussing Harry Kane’s future and reported interest from Chelsea.
Kane is entering the final 18 months of his Spurs contract, and inevitably, discussion around his future is starting up again.
Kane, of course, pushed to leave Tottenham last summer, and while the Spurs camp is much more settled right now, he still doesn’t have any trophies to show for it.
The England captain is being linked with a move away from Tottenham once again, and Chelsea are reportedly amongst the interested parties.
Jacobs says that the Blues would love to sign Kane, but he states that they currently aren’t actively plotting to bring him in.

Chelsea keen on Kane
Jacobs spoke about Chelsea and Kane.
“They like Harry Kane, there is no denying that, but do they realistically think they can get Kane? No. There are a number of people within the senior Chelsea hierarchy that are very familiar with Spurs, even some Tottenham fans. That won’t influence their decision-making, but that does tell you that of all the clubs this new consortium are aware of, Totetnham are one they are more familiar with than most. They know what Kane is about and that’s what Chelsea are lacking at the moment, a cutting edge. Chelsea would love Harry Kane, but are they plotting to sign him? The answer is no,” Jacobs said.
Could Kane join Chelsea?
Kane has been linked to almost every club under the sun at this point, but a move to Todd Boehly’s Chelsea does seem more likely than most rumours that have previously circulated.
Chelsea are serial trophy winners, Boehly loves to spend big, and the Blues are desperate for a top-class striker.
Kane’s contract is ticking down, and unless he signs a new deal soon, Spurs may actually need to cash-in next summer.
Chelsea aren’t plotting to sign Kane right this second, but it’s certainly a situation to keep an eye on going forward.
