Rodney Marsh has predicted on Twitter that Liverpool will not win the Champions League this season.
The former Manchester City forward has said that Liverpool should focus on finishing in the top four of the Premier League table and not on the Champions League.
The defending English champions got the better of RB Leipzig over two legs in the Round of 16 this week to book their place in the quarter-finals of Europe’s premier club competition.
Staying positive
There are better teams than Liverpool still left in the Champions League – Paris Saint-Germain, for example – but the Reds should stay positive.
After all, it was only in 2019 that Jurgen Klopp’s side won the Champions League, and in a knockout competition anything is possible.

Fabinho played in midfield against Leipzig on Wednesday evening, and Thiago was deployed in a more advanced role.
Both the players did well, and if Klopp can settle on a centre-back pairing for the rest of the season, then Fabinho and Thiago would play regularly in midfield, and that would help the defending English champions.
Liverpool have shown in the Champions League how good they are and can raise their game against the big teams.
