Kevin Campbell has made it clear that there is ‘no chance’ Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka is worth more than Jack Grealish, as he told the Highbury Squad.

The Arsenal legend thinks Saka is worth ‘maybe £80 million’ in today’s current transfer market.

In the summer, Manchester City activated a £100 million clause in Grealish’s Aston Villa contract and signed him up for a British record transfer fee.

Both Grealish and Saka were part of the England squad that featured at Euro 2020 and they both had an impact for their country.

Despite Saka’s rise in recent years, Campbell doesn’t think the ‘brilliant’ Hale-End star is worth what some fans may think he would go for in today’s market.

“If they think we are a selling club,” said Campbell. “Because that young man could bring serious bread in.

“No, no, no they aren’t worth hundreds of millions. We (fans) would say ‘yes, they are’. But they aren’t.

“Saka doesn’t have the resumé Grealish has got. Saka carried Arsenal for one season. He is brilliant. But he is young.

“They are dreaming. No chance, he’s not. I am telling you, he’s not. – I don’t think Saka is £100 million yet. He is maybe £80 million, maybe £90 million. He needs more goals.”

In truth, Grealish isn’t probably worth the price he went for, it was just a case of Man City meeting the clause in his contract.

Many do feel that the price of English players has always been overpriced or inflated and that is proving to be the case with Grealish.

There’s no doubt that if Arsenal had to sell Saka, they would demand serious, serious dough.

But he hasn’t done enough to warrant such a fee, especially given that he has never even challenged for the Premier League title or even played in the Champions League.
