Marcelo Bielsa has told Leeds Live that Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich is not injured, but is still being given time off before the European Championships.
Klich has played regularly at Leeds ever since Marcelo Bielsa took charge, and the demands of the season have started to take their toll.
With Klich set to go to the Euro’s with Poland in the summer, Leeds have now decided to give the 29-year-old some time off.
And although he isn’t injured, he now won’t be featuring for Leeds against Southampton tomorrow.
Bielsa said: “No, he’s not injured. The evaluations that I make over the campaign are for the needs of each player and in the case of Klich, the decision I made was the best for him.”
Klich’s absence will be felt by Leeds, as he has played well in recent weeks and even scored against Burnley at the weekend.

However, the Whites are flying right now – and there is little pressure on them.
Leeds have surpassed expectations on their first season back in the Premier League, and have almost secured a place in the top half of the table.
Leeds’ final two games come against Southampton tomorrow and then West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.
