Leeds United defender, Liam Cooper, has hailed the ‘unbelievable’ Stuart Dallas on Instagram and claimed that there is ‘no better teammate in the world’.

Following Leeds securing a top ten finish during the 2020/21 Premier League campaign, Dallas was the star of the show when it came to picking up the end-of-season awards.

The Northern Irishman won Player of the Year, the Players’ Player of the Year and Goal of the Season for Leeds.

The 30-year-old has been a bit of an unsung hero during Marcelo Bielsa’s tenure at Leeds, but he can now take that tag off his name because he is being rightfully rewarded and recognised for his performances.

And Cooper, who was with Dallas when Leeds were struggling in the Championship before Bielsa’s arrival, sent this brilliant message about the player.

To be recognised as the best player of the season by both the supporters and your fellow professionals is perhaps one of the best rewards a player can get.

The fans are the ones who watch your every move, week in and week out. Whilst your fellow teammates know every little bit of detail about you given that you train with them every day.

Either way, Dallas wasn’t just Player of the Season for Leeds, but one of the top performers across the Premier League as a whole this season.
