The popular Liverpool duo are expected to be available for their side’s clash against Chelsea in a few hours time.
Jurgen Klopp stated that he is ‘pretty sure’ both Fabinho and Alisson will be available for the Chelsea showdown, as posted by the club’s official website.
It’s provided the Liverpool supporters with a much-needed boost ahead of this crunch match, with Champions League places at stake.
Fabinho returns after an injury, whilst Alisson is back after being absent for personal reasons, but they have both timed their return perfectly.
It will be interesting to see where Fabinho plays now, with Ozan Kabak and Nat Phillips securing a clean sheet during their side’s win at Sheffield United last time out.
The Premier League champions have missed Fabinho’s bite, aggression and defensive awareness in the midfield, so the preference of the fans would perhaps be for him to return in that area.
