Rangers manager Steven Gerrard’s announcement that Ibrox new boy Nnamdi Ofoborh will be out of action indefinitely after a heart issue was discovered prompted a wave of support for the 21-year-old from fans on social media – and he has posted a defiant message telling everyone he “will be back” playing again.
Gerrard confirmed after the 2-2 draw with Arsenal at Ibrox on Saturday that the former Bournemouth man will see a specialist after a routine ECG raised a “red flag” following his summer move from the Cherries.
Ofoborh took to Instagram last night, and was clear that he will return to action as he posted an iimage of him alongside Gerrard during the recent friendly with Partick Thistle.
“God has a purpose for your pain, a reason for your struggles and a reward for your faithfulness,” Ofoborh posted on Instagram.
“God is the only reason I’ve made it this far. I will be back. 24.”
Ofoborh hopefully not out of action for Rangers for too long
After only just moving to Rangers this month, the news Ofoborh is out indefinitely comes as a massive blow for both the player and the club.
Whether it means Rangers will be forced to sign a temporary replacement is anyone’s guess just now but the sooner that Ofoborh is back and available the better.
The Rangers signing’s health is the most important thing in it all though and the club will no doubt ensure he gets the best care possible.
