Goals from Diego Costa, Willian and Eden Hazard capped a virtuoso display – coming from behind – by the visitors.
It was the performance of an unsung hero however, that epitomised both his and Chelsea’s resurgence in recent weeks and months.

Victor Moses caught the eye again for Conte’s men. Whilst his goal last weekend in the London derby versus Tottenham Hotspur drove The Blues’ attacking play, this time out his defensive nouse stood out.
For a man who has struggled to hit a consistent run of form during his career, the former Wigan Athletic, Crystal Palace and Liverpool loanee has now discovered a niche to his game, in an area of the pitch few would have expected such success.
Antonio Conte’s 3-4-3 formation has fit the Nigerian like a glove. His numbers against Pep Guardiola’s men merely underline Moses’ impact for the West-Londoners.

Particularly in the second period, as the hosts pushed for a second and potentially decisive goal, the midfielder tracked backed unerringly on the right hand side versus Leroy Sane.
For the most part the NIgerian’s battle with his Germanic opponent was a successful one. As such, Moses made the most interceptions during the 90 minutes for Chelsea, on four successful occasions.

Perhaps most impressively, only David Luiz made more clearances from the danger area than Moses, the midfielder coming in with five to the Brazilian’s six.
Having scored just six goals in his last four season across the country, Victor Moses has notched half of that tally after just 14 league games this term.
Whilst many have pointed to the player’s huge inconsistencies in the past, Moses has now hit a run of form after a long and often barren search.
His biggest asset to Antonio Conte’s Chelsea however, are his performances at both ends of the pitch. Having started the last eight games and after another fruitful display, the Blues faithful will be hoping this is just the beginning for Moses.
