Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has raved about Martin Odegaard on Soccer AM.

Nketiah played with Real Madrid attacking midfielder Odegaard at Arsenal during the second half of last season.

The 22-year-old Norway international joined the Gunners on loan from Madrid in the January transfer window.

Nketiah said about Odegaard on Soccer AM: “He is a good player. He is very comfortable on the ball, technically very good. He is a very good passer of the ball.”

Arsenal loan spell

Odegaard did well during his loan spell at Arsenal.

The 22-year-old made nine starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Gunners.

The youngster scored one goal and gave two assists in those games.

Odegaard also scored one goal in six Europa League matches for the North London club.

Arsenal return rumour

The Norwegian has been linked with a move back to the Emirates Stadium.

Football.London reported earlier this month that Arsenal technical director Edu is convinced that he will be able to sign Odegaard, either on loan or permanently.

The Athletic has also claimed interest in Odegaard from Arsenal.

Arsenal comeback likely?

Carlo Ancelotti is the new manager of Madrid.

The former Everton boss is likely to give Odegaard a chance in pre-season.

The Italian tactical will be giving the players a clean slate, and Odegaard could be tempted to stay at Madrid and try to establish himself in the first team.
