The Israeli midfielder has been somewhat out of favour at Celtic this season.

Celtic midfielder Nir Bitton has ruined one of his own fans on Patrick Roberts’ Instagram post after the Hoops supporter looked to ridicule the out-of-favour Israeli midfielder.
The 26-year-old has missed Celtic’s last seven Scottish Premiership encounters with a long-term knee injury that is likely to keep him out for the rest of the season.

Largely considered on the fringes of Brendan Rodgers’ side anyway, Bitton has even been converted into a centre-back this season away from his regular position of central midfield – with the emergence of Kouassi Eboue pushing him down the pecking order.
Manchester City loanee Roberts posted on Instagram “good win today, big few weeks ahead” after the Hoops earned a 2-1 win over Hamilton. But it was in the comments which made more interesting reading.
Bitton replied to Roberts’ post, before a fan decided to take aim at the midfielder. However, Bitton had the last laugh over the fan, commenting “Unluckyyyyyyyy 2 more years of me”.

Bitton has a contract until the summer of 2020 at Celtic Park, with the Daily Star reporting that the former FC Ashdod man earns £12,000 a week with the Scottish champions.
Since joining the club in 2013, Bitton has racked up a huge 171 appearances in all competitions for the Bhoys, scoring 12 goals and laying on 14 assists.
