Some West Ham United fans weren’t keen on the idea of selling Albian Ajeti to Celtic.
The Swiss hitman joined the Hoops from West Ham this past summer on a permanent basis.
But fans of the East London club wanted it to be a loan due to the 23-year-old’s potential.
Ajeti managed only nine Premier League appearances for the Hammers last season – all from the bench – and it looked like David Moyes’s didn’t quite rate him, with his appearances adding up to only 130 minutes.
But he arrived in England with bags of potential after scoring 21 goals in 43 outings for Basel back in his homeland.
And it looks like he is fulfilling his potential in Glasgow.
Ajeti has bagged five Premiership goals in as many starts for Celtic – making nine league appearances overall – setting up another two.
More impressively, he has a 100 percent shot accuracy [BBC Sport] which means that so far, whenever he shoots, it’s on target.
West Ham spent £8 million and made back £4.5 million, so it’s a loss financially.
And if he maintains this sort of form then the Irons’ supporters will be thinking it’s a loss in terms of football, too.
