Everton sold Nikola Vlasic to CSKA Moscow this summer.
The father of Nikola Vlasic has told Vecernji in Croatia that the former Everton man will be making a big-money move to a top club in the near future.
Vlasic joined Everton back in August 2017 after impressing against the Toffees in a Europa Leagu qualifying tie against Hajduk Split.
The Croatian was showing promise under Ronald Koeman, but then found it hard to play under Sam Allardyce, and end up being loaned out by Marco Silva.
Vlasic hit eight goals and seven assists on loan at CSKA Moscow last season, and ended up making his move to Russia permanent this summer.
The 21-year-old looks set for a bright future, and his father Josko has now had his say on the midfielder’s future.
He believes that Vlasic will be joining a team in one of the ‘big five’ leagues in the near future, claiming that any team will see Vlasic as a way to make a profit because of his huge potential.
It seems that Everton felt this was possible too, as the Liverpool Echo noted that Marcel Brands put a sell-on clause into the deal, meaning Everton will get a slice of a future fee.
That’s still some time away, but if he couldn’t make the grade at Goodison Park, Everton will now at least hope to earn another chunk of cash from him in the future, with that sell-on clause absolutely vital just in case his dad’s prediction comes true.
