Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have Niko Kranjcar fighting fit, but for how long?

There can be little doubt that Niko Kranjcar is one of Rangers’ most talented players.
Ex-Rangers boss Mark Warburton pulled off quite a coup by bringing the well-travelled former Premier League man North of the border 15 months ago.

Sadly for the 81-time Croatia international and fans of the Ibrox club, it hasn’t been a huge success story by virtue of the fact that Kranjcar has started only six Premiership games for the Glasgow giants due to injury.
Manager Pedro Caixinha confirmed that he is fit again after his latest setback, but the Portuguese should consider selling him in January if the former Tottenham playmaker doesn’t remain injury-free until the winter transfer window opens.

There comes a time when you have to cut your losses and Kranjcar, given his profile, would be one of the club’s highest earners, if not the highest, but it makes little sense to continue paying someone whose injury woes prevent him from being an asset.
The 33-year-old is out of contract in the summer but the Gers should transfer list him in January if in the not-so-unlikely event he picks up another injury.
He is a class act but another setback would be just another sign that it’s not going to happen for him in Scotland.
