Niko Kranjcar has assured supporters that while it is too early to think about the Scottish Premiership title, Rangers will be in the mix come the end of the campaign, The Scottish Sun reports.
Mark Warburton’s men have made a mixed start to their top flight return and currently sit fifth in the table, having previously failed to win any of their last four league games going into their clash with Partick at the weekend.

However, a Kranjcar goal inspired the Gers to a 2-0 win at Ibrox. And though the Croatian has looked to downplay any title talk, he has made a promise that the side will be involved in the race.
“It is not in our hands in respect of the points we’ve dropped already. I think we learned that the most important game is the next one coming up,” he said, as reported by The Scottish Sun.

“Obviously we have the international break coming up and we have to work hard, get ready.
“We can talk come Christmas where we are in the title race.
“Last week at Aberdeen, we competed against them. We were definitely the better football side but we didn’t get our rewards. We are gonna be up there, that’s for sure.”
While results have been inconsistent this term, their two performances in the fixtures immediately before the Partick win suggested that they were heading in the right direction.
And while their performance was not quite as impressive on Saturday, the fact that they managed to win suggests that they are beginning to understand what they will need to do to be successful at the highest level.
And if they can continue along that path following the international break, it may not be long before some are agreeing with Kranjcar that Rangers may be in the mix come the end of the season.
