One of Mark Warburton’s Glasgow Rangers men is delighted to be playing with the Ibrox legend.

Rangers' Kenny Miller

Niko Kranjcar has told Rangers’ official YouTube channel that he finds it brilliant to play alongside evergreen striker Kenny Miller.

The 36-year-old shows no signs of slowing down despite his advancing years and he netted four times in Saturday’s 7-0 demolition of Northern Irish outfit Linfield.

But it would be a mistake to assume that Miller can only score against vastly inferior teams, given that the former Scotland marksman has two goals in four Premiership games so far.

Both goals were winners in 2-1 victories over Dundee and Motherwell respectively; a fact which perhaps supports increasing beliefs that he still has plenty to offer Rangers.

Gers boss Mark Warburton signed three strikers during the summer – including 17-year-old Serge Atakayi – but it would appear as if Miller is still Martyn Waghorn’s biggest threat to the number nine shirt.

Former Tottenham and Croatia ace Kranjcar has played with him for a few months now, and the playmaker is delighted to be playing alongside, and behind, a hitman of Miller’s vintage.

“I don’t think his goalscoring was ever in doubt but his movement is so great,” he told Rangers’ official YouTube. “For me as a midfielder I must say it’s brilliant to play with him because he’s still got great acceleration and I must say I’m quite impressed.”
