Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo scored for Nigeria this afternoon.

With the international break upon us, Rangers and Everton will both have players in action all over the world – and two were playing together today.
Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo and Everton winger Alex Iwobi both lined up for Nigeria, featuring against Brazil in today’s meeting in Singapore.
Nigeria took a shock lead against the South Americans, with Rangers ace Aribo opening the scoring before Casemiro rescued a draw for Brazil in the second half.
Nigeria boss Gernot Rohr will be delighted to have picked up a draw against such a strong side, especially as the likes of Roberto Firmino and Neymar were in action.
It’s only a friendly, so he won’t be getting too excited just yet, but the performance of Aribo will be a major boost for the Super Eagles.
The 23-year-old has now picked up two goals in two games for Nigeria, despite playing in a more withdrawn role today in order to accommodate Iwobi as the number 10.

However, Nigeria fans took to Twitter to slate Iwobi, suggesting that the Everton signing needs to improve dramatically and ultimately be ‘very concerned’ about losing his place to Aribo.
Aribo has been described as ’10 times the player’ Iwobi is, and is everything that they wish Iwobi was, with the Everton man taking a battering after Aribo’s impressive display.
