Leeds United have made a strong start to the 2017-18 Championship campaign.

Leeds United have made a strong start to the 2017-18 Championship campaign and are in the running for a top-two finish.
The West Yorkshire outfit are at the top of the league table at the moment with 17 points from eight matches, level on points with second-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers and third-placed Cardiff City.
Thomas Christiansen has been a huge success at Leeds already, having been appointed the club’s head coach in the summer following the departure of Garry Monk, who is now in charge of Championship rivals Middlesbrough.

Under Christiansen, Leeds have played brilliant passing football and have also been very strong at the back.
A number of players have impressed for Leeds so far this season, including summer signing and Chris Wood’s replacement Pierre-Michel Lasogga, defender Pontus Jansson and attacking midfielder Samuel Saiz.
One player who has caught the eye of former Leeds goalkeeper Nigel Martyn is Stuart Dallas. The Northern Ireland international winger has yet to start a Championship match for the Whites, but the 26-year-old has scored twice in seven substitute appearances.

Martyn has also praised Leeds head coach Christiansen, and told Bwin when asked who has been the stand-out performers for Leeds so far: “Stuart Dallas seems to be one that’s coming up with some good performances on a regular basis.
“Aside from individuals, I just think the manager has galvanised them and has put them all together and he’s just got that team spirit going.
“He’s made a few changes and he’s brought in faces that we haven’t really heard of but so far they seem to have come in and be doing really, really well.
“I think it’s a team full of players that are prepared to give their all, and all be in it together. It’s amazing how far you can go with that mentality.”
