Leeds got the better of City 1-0 away from home at the Ashton Gate Stadium in the Championship.
Patrick Bamford scored the only goal of the match as early as the ninth minute, as Marcelo Bielsa’s side maintained their charge for automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Leeds are now second in the Championship table with 70 points from 36 matches, just two points behind leaders Norwich City.
Sheffield United are currently third in the standings, two points behind Leeds, and the Blades are also aiming to finish in the top two and feature in the Preier League during the 2019-20 campaign.
Former Leeds goalkeeper Martyn has revelled on Twitter in the win for the West Yorkshire outfit, and so has Andy Couzens.
The former Leeds midfielder has also outlined the importance of the team’s matches against Reading on Tuesday evening and Sheffield United next weekend in the Championship.
