Sunderland are still looking for a new manager, following David Moyes’ departure.

According to a report in the Telegraph, Nigel Clough is the latest name to be linked with the Sunderland job.
Clough has done an excellent job at Burton Albion, after taking them from League One into the Championship and keeping them up, despite a limited amount of funding.
And Sunderland have reportedly been impressed by Clough, with the 51-year-old now in with a chance of taking over from David Moyes.

If Clough does land the Sunderland job, he is likely to have plenty of transfer targets – with the Black Cats needing to do some renovations.
And one of those players he would be keen to bring with him to the Stadium of Light is likely to be Jackson Irvine.

Irvine has enjoyed a highly impressive season at Burton, since joining from Ross County.
The Australian already has a number of Championship clubs chasing him, after netting 10 goals in 42 appearances this past campaign.
And Sunderland are surely likely to consider making a move for Irvine, if Clough does get given the job.
