Leeds beat Burton 2-0 at Elland Road this weekend.
Burton Albion boss Nigel Clough has suggested his side deserved more from their game with Leeds United yesterday.
Leeds won the game at Elland Road 2-0, with goals from Chris Wood and Souleymane Doukara securing three points for the home side.
But Wood’s goal was a penalty and Doukara scored in the last minute of the game after catching the Brewers higher up the field.

He had this to say after the game, as reported by the BBC:
“We played well enough to get something from that. We played well, took the game to them but we need to take our chances. I thought we had the edge overall but we didn’t use the free-kick opportunity well enough.
“It’s frustrating but Leeds and us are playing well and creating stuff. We could have sat on the edge of our penalty area but we didn’t.”
Norwich City boss Alex Neil had something similar to say after Leeds knocked them out of the EFL Cup in midweek and it only goes to show the grit that Garry Monk has managed to install at Elland Road.

They are getting results when, in the past, they would have failed to do so. The much-strengthened defence can certainly take a lot of the credit for the improvements in this aspect of Leeds’ play.
Clough is right, Burton did play well and on another day, could have got a more positive result.
But Leeds United will be more than happy if they keep picking up three points in this manner.
