Hull City manager Nigel Adkins has suggested to The Hull Daily Mail that Norwich City are better than Leeds United and Nottingham Forest.

Adkins made the comments ahead of the Championship game between Hull and Norwich at the KCOM Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The Tigers suffered a 2-0 defeat to Forest at home in the Championship this past Saturday afternoon.

Hull also suffered a 1-0 loss at the hands of Leeds at the KCOM Stadium in the league back in October.

Adkins told The Hull Daily Mail about Norwich: “I thought Leeds were good but Norwich are probably better. They play out from the back.

“You talk about Nottingham Forest keeping possession, they’ll keep possession a hell of a lot more than that.

“They’ll be a far tougher opponent than Nottingham Forest. They pass the ball for fun.”

Challenging for promotion

Leeds, Forest and Norwich all are aiming to win automatic promotion from the Championship to the Premier League at the end of the season.

The Canaries are three points clear of third-placed Leeds at the top of the Championship table and have won their last six matches, while Forest are just outside the playoffs at the moment.

Norwich are in great form at the moment, but both Leeds and Forest have strong squads, and the Whites and the Reds can certainly end up in the top two of the Championship this season.
