Southampton failed to win against Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

Nigel Adkins has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Southampton’s result against Manchester City at the weekend.
Southampton played out a 1-1 draw with City away from home at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Nathan Redmond put the Saints in the lead in the 27th minute, and Kelechi Iheanacho restored parity for the Citizens on 55 minutes.
Former Southampton manager Adkins was following the match, and he was pleased with the final result.


Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon, hosts City had 65% of the possession, took 14 shots of which only three were on target, and earned 10 corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors Southampton had just 35% of the possession, took six shots of which two were on target, and earned three corners, according to BBC Sport.
The Saints are eighth in the Premier League table at the moment with 13 points from nine matches, just six points behind Chelsea, who are currently fourth in the standings and occupy the final Champions League spot.
