Tottenham Hotspur reportedly won’t be signing the Roma ace this summer.

According to a report from Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, AS Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo is now unlikely to join Tottenham, as the north London outfit press on in their pursuit of Real Betis ace Giovani Lo Celso.
The Daily Star claimed yesterday that Spurs are closing in on the double signing of Betis man Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham.
According to Italian football expert Alfredo Pedulla, the 20-year-old Italian informed Tottenham earlier this summer that he wanted to move to north London.
Meanwhile, Calcio Mercato claimed that Spurs have already offered £36 million plus Toby Alderweireld for Zaniolo.
Considering the fact that the Belgian has a £25 milling release clause, the total value of the reported deal would have been around £61 million for Tottenham.
At 6ft 3in tall, Zaniolo cuts an imposing figure, and his technical ability, combined with his wonderful vision would surely have proven to be a huge asset for Spurs.

Should they get a deal for Lo Celso over the line, however, their need for the Italian youngster would be drastically reduced.
Calcio Mercato claims that if, or more likely when, the Real Betis midfielder moves to Tottenham, the door will be closed on the Roma ace’s hopes of joining Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
