Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs reportedly interested in AS Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo.

Reported Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo has said that he is happy at Roma, as quoted in The Mirror.

The 19-year-old midfielder, though, has suggested that his agent will speak to Roma at the end of the season.

According to The Mirror, Tottenham are interested in signing the Italy international striker in the summer transfer window and are considering a bid of £40 million.

The report has also claimed of interest in the youngster from Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Juventus.

The Mirror quotes Zaniolo as saying: “It is always pleasing to have interest from great teams. But all I am focused on in this moment is seeing out the season with Roma.

“I still have four years left on my contract, and I am happy here. I see my future at Roma, but my agent will talk to the club at the end of the season.”

Huge potential

Zaniolo joined Roma from Italian rivals Inter Milan in the summer of 2018 and has been superb this season.

According to WhoScored, the teenage midfielder has made 20 starts and seven substitute appearances in Serie A for Roma this season, scoring four goals and providing two assists in the process.

The 19-year-old – who is valued at between €50 million and €70m (£43.82m and (£61.35m) by the CIES Football Observatory – also made four starts and three substitute appearances in the Champions League, scoring two goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
