Calciomercato.it has claimed that Liverpool have made contact to sign the Italy international midfielder from Inter in the summer transfer window.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reported last month that Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham all want to sign the 24-year-old.
What Jurgen Klinsmann has said
Barella was in action for Italy against Belgium in the quarter-finals of Euro 2020 on Friday evening.
The midfielder scored a brilliant goal on 31 minutes to help Italy to a 2-1 win.
Former Tottenham star Jurgen Klinsmann was following the match for BBC Sport, and he was very impressed by the 24-year-old Inter star.
Klinsmann said on BBC One (8:50pm, July 2, 2021): “He is quite a player. Barella is a very young player coming through. With his quality, he is one of the biggest talents in Europe right now.”

Nicolo Barella to Tottenham Hotspur?
Calciomercato.it has reported that Inter do not plan to sell Barella this summer.
However, money talks.
Anything is possible when the transfer window is open.
The Italian champions have financial problems, and they could be convinced to sell the 24-year-old if Spurs make a big offer.
Barella has been superb for Inter, and he is now showing on the International stage what he is capable of.
The Inter no.23 scored three goals and gave seven assists in Serie A last season.
The 24-year-old also provided one assist in six Champions League appearances.
