Manchester United academy coach Nicky Butt has highlighted teenage talent Angel Gomes as a player to watch for the future.
In an interview with The Times, Butt picked out the attacker as one who he believes can go on and be a first team superstar.
He said: “I look at the kids and they’re miles better than I was at their age — technically. We’ve got some unbelievable players.
“Angel Gomes is a young talented player we’ve massive hopes for.”

There has been plenty of hype around Gomes over the past 12 months, who is an England youth international.
Also eligible to play for Portugal, he is just 16, but is generating a huge buzz around Old Trafford, and could potentially be fast tracked into the first team.
He is a regular for United’s under-16 side, and scored an impressive hat-trick earlier this month against Everton, a historic feat as he was their youngest ever player to do so in almost 15 years, the club’s official website reported.
This was days before his 16th birthday, with Gomes 15 at the time.
Butt’s comments illustrate how highly he is regarded at the club, and while this season may be too soon, it may not be long before he is dazzling crowds in the first team, if he continues his impressive development.
